The objective of the project was to conduct organizational capacity assessments for associations involved in horticulture value chains. The project aimed to empower the associations involved in horticulture value chains by enhancing their organizational capacities, thereby enabling them to operate more efficiently, improve their performance, and contribute to the sustainable development of the horticulture sector in Georgia. Furthermore, by establishing fruitful cooperation with the USAID Agricultural program, the project aimed to leverage additional resources and expertise to support the growth and success of the assessed associations.

Through the consultancy, we:

• Analyzed the database of agricultural cooperatives to identify those relevant to the project
• Developed criteria for selecting relevant cooperatives
• Developed criteria for assessing cooperatives, with a focus on horticulture value chains
• Conducted a capacity building needs assessment
• Developed and delivered a final analytical report with an evaluated list of associations.
