This project was designed to offer support to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MoESD) in promptly evaluating the feasibility of merging two significant institutions within the tourism sector. The goal was to thoroughly analyze the potential advantages and disadvantages associated with the merger. Our team collaborated closely with relevant stakeholders from both entities to gather information and insights. The consultancy involved:
- Conducting a comprehensive environmental scanning and assessment, analyzing all relevant documents, data, and resources pertinent to the proposed merger.
- Conducting interviews with internal and external stakeholders to gather diverse perspectives.
- Researching international best practices in mergers and acquisitions within the tourism industry.
- Developing an efficient model for resort management.
- Generating findings, including an assessment of potential risks and benefits associated with the merger.
