Chingiz Kanapyanov

Chingiz Kanapyanov is a results-driven Partner at GEC, leading the Kazakhstan office and spearheading regional operations to deliver sustainable outcomes for clients. With over two decades of executive management and consulting experience, Chingiz is a trusted expert in international development, governance, strategy, and government relations across diverse sectors including finance and capital markets, gold mining, commodities, green technologies and renewables, universities/think tanks, and NGOs in Central Eurasia and Kazakhstan.

 

Chingiz's exceptional expertise lies in developing robust organizational strategies and driving financial management and performance improvement. He is a skilled financial analyst and has a solid track record of facilitating organizational development, including financial and sustainability analysis. Chingiz has an extensive international network and has worked closely with prominent international donor organizations, financial institutions, and professional associations.

 

In addition to his contributions at GEC, Chingiz is an honorary consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Almaty, an independent member of the Supervisory Board at Halyk Bank Georgia, and the Kazakhstan Country Director and Chair of the Board at Central Eurasian Leadership Alliance (CELA). He is also an Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at International Green Technologies and Investment Center, an Independent Board Member and Chair of the Strategy Committee at Kazakh British Technical University, and Vice President at Eurasian Culture Foundation.

 

Chingiz holds an MA in World Economy and a BA in International Economic Relations from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, as well as a degree in International Economic Relations from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
